How and when do I pay for my trip?
Your deposit, your balance, the ways to pay, and what happens if your plans change.
Your trip is confirmed with a 25% deposit, and the balance is due 60 days before you arrive. For arrivals between 15 December and 6 January, and over Easter week, it is due 90 days before. If you book inside that window, the full amount is due when you book.
How to pay. Everything goes through our secure payment page: https://costarica.org/payments/
- Credit card: a 3% processing fee applies.
- Bank wire, ACH, Zelle, or a check deposited at any Chase branch: no processing fee.
Many of our travelers pay the deposit by card and the balance by wire, which saves the fee on the larger amount.
If your plans change. We always do our best to help, even at the last minute. We prepay our hotels, drivers and guides well before you arrive, though, so how much we can do depends on how much notice we're given. Our payment and cancellation policies are set out in full in the Client Agreement you sign when you book. To cancel, please write to concierge@costarica.org.
