How do the private transfers work?
How pick-ups work, stops along the way, and getting around on a free day.
Your driver is Costa Rican, the van is modern and air-conditioned, and it leaves on your schedule.
Pick-up times are in your final itinerary. Please be in your hotel lobby a few minutes before; if a pick-up is somewhere else, we'll tell you. For your airport pick-up, see What happens when I land?
Stops are part of the trip. Ask your driver to pull over for water, a bathroom, a roadside fruit stand or a sloth in a tree.
Changing a time? Please give us at least 2 business days' notice before that transfer.
Your last day: for international flights, plan to be at the airport about 3 hours before departure.
Free days: if you'd like a private transfer to go somewhere on a free day, ask us and we'll send you a quote. For short hops, your hotel can call a taxi, and Uber works in some areas, like Arenal.
Mountain roads wind. If you get carsick, bring something for it.
